No view from our villa. Septic smell outside our door. Extremely limited shuttle space. Beach steep and not soft sand.

The service at the hotel was a real surprise! Although it is not rated as a 5 star hotel its service and staff friendliness from reception to restaurant (Khun Noni) and everyone else, is absolutely 5 star standard. Everybody tries to take care of all your needs and is extremely friendly in doing so. After staying at Outrigger hotel at Lamai the days before this was a very relaxing experience and we had the feeling of finally really being on holiday. The rooms are equipped with everything you need and are thoughtfully designed and furnished. It was a pleasure to sit on the terrace, look at the beautiful pool and stroll through the well kept gardens, with lotus and kois in the waterpools. The beach is kept clean and it is very enjoyable to sit there for breakfast, sunbathing or sunset drink. The location is very good, especially if one wants to see Fishermans warf which is only a 10 minute walk away.

We joined a buffet dinner on one evening which was at the beach. The food and service were excellent! The only thing that could be improved is the timing. The buffet started at 18.30. We arrived at 19.45 which in Europe is a normal dinner time. At 20.15 the staff already started to close down the grill, take away the fish from the buffet and slowly started to clean up. We had just had our appetiser and our second glass of Prosecco and sort of got the feeling of having to rush to get some food from the buffet. I think it should be no problem to extend the dinner time at least until 22.00 which would adjust it to European and American needs. Apart from that everything was wonderful, thank you!!

Pools were very nice with plenty of seating for guests. Having the option to borrow or rent paddle boards and kayaks was fantastic. Breakfast was good, not amazing but did the job.

We liked the hotel facilities, the beach, the breakfast, the location. Excellent value for money.

It was our second time at this hotel, this time we took the family room. It was on the ground floor with an exit to the garden. For some reason there was high humidity in the room that caused to uncomfortable feeling. Maybe due to a lot of water that ran in the garden next to the room’s door.

The property is very nice, a lot of plants, beautiful pool and direct access to the beach. The bandara employees are so nice and doing everything to please us!

The bed for me was not good enough

Not very comfortable with baby stroller. No elevators, many stairs. Breakfast was fine, not very tasty. Dinner is expensive and spa is very expensive

We loved this hotel (so much we ended up cancelling our other one and coming back here for the rest of our stay)! The location is fantastic - right on the beach, and a few mins walk to Fisherman's Village but still lovely and quiet. Was so lovely to walk along the beach to different restaurants. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic, so much variety, all very fresh and clean. A real highlight is the large main pool - heaps of great seating options, pool bar, food service. The beach it's on is great and clean. Good wifi. Restaurant food was very good. Would definitely return and recommend, especially for those with kids.

The layout of the bathroom is a bit weird without a main door (the toilet and shower each have a door, but the sink etc are out in the open) but really not a big deal

Amazing hotel. We arrived as a couple with four teenagers. We took a villa and a family room. The pools are clean and maintained, the breakfast is rich, the hotel staff are great. The rooms are spotlessly clean and they make sure to clean the pool in the villa every day. The hotel staff is very helpful and always responded positively. Definitely recommend and I will come back again.

The beach was not what I thought would be. Not hotels fault, I should have done more research…beautiful beach just not clear blue water we wanted. Again, my fault.

Honestly have no negatives it was great

Pool areas are great, and hotel staff is super friendly! We loved the massive breakfast buffet, and location, as well as the beachfront amenities (nice beach and calm surf too!) Beds were comfortable and they tried to upgrade us as well, which wouldn't work out but that was a nice gesture. They also provided some additional free services.

Rooms are a bit dated and could be updated. There was loud construction going on that we could hear throughout the day, and the door was drafty, so every time someone opened the hallway door (near the lobby), our door would move/close too. Also, we did have an issue with Booking.com charging us more than the site said during booking, but they tried to blame the hotel- not sure who is fully at fault here. We did get a credit back from Booking.com after the trip (they said we needed to stay first), but not a refund. So just an FYI.
